Area 57 Conferences:
- The Purpose of the Area 57 Conference is to hear the Delegate’s Report after they attend the General Service Conference. The District Committee Members (DCMs) are the Hosts for the Conference.
- Modeled from SWRAASA, the purpose of Fun-In-The-Fellowship is too hold a one-day service conference the day prior to the Area Assembly for members of Alcoholics Anonymous in and around Area 57. To share about carrying the message through the efforts of the General Service structure at the Group, District, and Area levels. To provide an atmosphere of fun and fellowship to all members interested in service.
Regional:
- Regional Forum events allow members throughout the service structure to exchange information. They bring together:
- The General Service Board
- A.A. World Services, Inc.
- A.A. Grapevine, Inc.
- The General Service Office and Grapevine staff
- A.A. members
- Newcomers to service
- Trusted servants
- The Southwest Region AA Service Assembly (SWRAASA) is a three day meeting of general sessions as well as workshops with speakers and sharing from the floor. Workshops include AA History, Archives, Area Chair, Area Assemblies, Bridge the Gap, Conventions, Corrections, DCM, Delegate/Alt. Delegate, GSRs, Website, Traditions, CPC, Service Sponsorship, Concepts etc.
- You do not have to have ever held a service position to attend, it is open to all AA members.
International:
- Taking place once every five years, the A.A. International Convention marks the anniversary of Bill W.’s first meeting with Dr. Bob and the birth of Alcoholics Anonymous in 1935. A.A. members and their families and friends from around the globe attend the event. At the International Convention people attend meetings, workshops, dances and events.
